The 12 Laws of the Universe by Manhardeep SinghHave you ever questioned why things happen to you? Some days we’re off to the races and nothing can stop us, while other days we don’t accomplish a damn thing. These are the one’s we are most curious about and the author of The 12 Laws Of The Universe, Manhardeep Singh explains them by uncovering the hidden power of laws guiding our lives. These are not complicated scientific theories but basic truths that shape our lives every day. Let’s discuss these powerful lessons and how you can use them to enhance your life.

1. The Law of Divine Oneness

The whole universe is a connected system. Your actions affect others. Their actions affect you. We are all a part of the same energy matrix. It is a bond that extends to the animal kingdom, the plant world, and even inanimate objects.

How to apply: Think of yourself as a little cog in a big machine. Whenever you feel annoyed or angry with someone, just remember that whatever harm or sabotage you cause him is in fact going to harm you. I have walked strangers through the hurried streets of a city. I also had a flat tire that someone helped me change in the same day. A single small act of kindness can lead to ripples of kindness throughout the interconnected world.

2. The Law of Vibration

Everything moves, changes, and even vibrates at different levelsGood thoughts, good emotions, good feelings are all exists in different layers. Examples of those higher vibrations being love and joy; and how emotions like fear and anger cause them to drop.

How to apply: Your state of mind may ease or exacerbate your mood. For instance, stress and anger reduce your vibrations. To lift your spirits, listen to some motivational music, go for a nature walk or chat with a friend. Personally, I play my favorite songs every morning which I have found helps me to feel better and be more productive during the day.

3. The Law of Action

Wishing and thinking are not enough. You need specific steps to make a change. Action is the driving force that moves you forward. Without action, you can’t achieve anything.

How to Apply: Achievable goals and objectives should be broken down into actionable steps. Writing one page a day can produce a book. One of my friends wanted to run a marathon. For years, he didn’t exercise, but he would walk for 10 minutes. Six months later, he completed his first 5K run. Small steps lead to significant results.

4. The Law of Correspondence

“As above, so below.” “As within, so without.” Your inner world creates your outer reality. Your world on the outside is shaped by your inner world. The outside world is a reflection of what is inside your head.

How To Apply: Get your house in order before everything. If your mind is full of negative thoughts, you’ll be priming yourself for the gloomier truth about the world around you. Exercise positive thoughts daily. I spent years worrying about my finances. This, too, in other words, felt worse, and it was. Once I changed my focus and started to be grateful for what I had, new opportunities started to present themselves. Your mind is like a garden. You can feed any thought you choose to cultivate.

Every action reacts. Every effect has a cause, and every effect has a consequence. This law is also known as karma.

How to apply: Think carefully before making important decisions. Ask yourself, “What are the potential consequences of this decision?” Be mindful of the consequences of your words and actions. My neighbor once yelled at a store clerk. It’s a small mistake. The next day, his boss reprimanded him for something minor. “What we put out, we eventually get back to ourselves.”

6. The Law of Reward

What we receive is what we put out. But the timing and form of the reward is usually not what we expected.

How to apply: Be mindful of giving for the sake of giving rather than for the actual effect. Sharing is all about volunteering, teaching, or helping people who are less qualified than you. One of my students spent hours helping his classmates prepare for exams, even though he couldn’t earn money. Then, in the middle of a complex assignment, three people suddenly offered to help him.

‘Like attracts like;’ this means that your thoughts and feelings attract similar energies to you. This is not just positive thinking but the total integration of your being and what you want.

How to apply: Concentrate more on what you want rather than what you don’t want. Rather than telling yourself “I don’t want to be broke,” adopt a motivational statement such as “ I am attracting financial abundance.” When a friend of mine moved from the suburbs of New York City to a different town for work, he wanted new friends. Rather than thinking, “nobody loves me,” he visualized the amount of love and caring he would get from people. So, I he joined a club related to his passion, and within a few months, he had a wonderful new social life.

8. The Law of Constant Transmutation of Energy

The Law of Transmutation states that energy is constantly in motion and takes different forms. Higher vibrations can always change lower vibrations. This means that when you bring energy to a situation, you have the power to change it.

How to apply: When you are confronted with negative energy, you need to apply positive energy. One of my coworkers used to bring cookies every Friday and he decided to stop gossiping. Eventually, the whole office started to feel better. One person who works with more energy than usual can lift everyone else.

Everything is relative. Nothing exists on its own. In the larger context, all difficulties are relative and temporary.

How to apply: When something difficult comes up, use the phrase “compared to what?” When you step back from the problem, it often seems so trivial. After a few days, when you are angry that you lost the job you really wanted, you finally see the big picture. People these days have to wake up in the morning and worry about how to make their next meal or how to get the job they dreamed of.

Not only did that ease the pain of my loss, it taught me not to define my worth by a slammed door. The worst thing about comparing your worries to those of people who are facing much more serious problems is that it doesn’t help solve anything. But it does tend to make things look a little better, at least compared to the overwhelming pain.

10. The Law of Polarity

Everything exists in duality. Cold is hot, love is hate, and good and evil are fundamentally the same but take different forms.

How to apply: Every problem presents an opportunity to find hidden value. A notable example is how most people react to traffic jams. They react reluctantly. But I got the most out of my three-hour-long traffic jam by listening to an audiobook I had been meaning to listen to for a while. That book inspired me, and the idea later became my successful project. There is a famous saying that “in every frustration, there is at least the seed of an equal or greater gain” if we only look for it.

A comprehensive way to look at life is to consider the fact that everything is cyclical. This also applies to tides, seasons, life and death. Every positive or negative phenomenon in existence has its counterpart, and nothing is permanent. What goes up must eventually come down.

How to apply: In tough times, don’t despair; as the saying goes, “This too shall pass.” On the contrary, in good times, be grateful but never complacent. My friend’s business struggles seemed like they would never end, but his tenacity in navigating those complex cycles was admirable. The economy recovered, and he was soon perfectly positioned to become the protagonist of the optimistic success story that everyone was talking about. Maintaining composure when the world seems chaotic is as natural as achieving overall success in life.

12. The Law of Gender

The law of gender has nothing to do with whether a person is male or female. It simply refers to the masculine and feminine energies that we see all around us. Moving forward, making plans, and taking action are masculine energies, while letting things flow, nurturing ideas, and coming up with ideas are all feminine energies.

How to apply: Balance action and presence. Being in action mode is often a cultural value, but creativity takes effort and tolerance. I’ve always been one to push myself too hard and burn out on projects. Now, I take time to focus and think of long, quiet moments. I come up with ideas during those “feminine” moments and execute them with “masculine” actions. Balance these energies to be more creative and effective.

Conclusion

These 12 laws are not theories but practical tools for improving your life. Perfection is not a prerequisite for all of them. It may be more helpful to start with the laws that resonate with you most right now and carefully observe how they work in your life. Then, over time, integrate the rest of the laws.

We do not ask if they like it or not; Truth itself rules the universe. Once equipped with this understanding, one can adapt to and conform to these norms. Learning the framework and other concepts will become easier, like understanding the rules of a game.

We are not constantly under attack by external pressures that we cannot avoid, but that they are the primary forces that shape most of what happens to us. But while this idea hints at this truth to me, it also whispers to me, in my favorite idiom, that our world is not a random void, but a rational place with laws that we can learn from and use to our advantage.

Did these laws, you believe, limit the situation? How do you think they would have changed things had you known about them? When we practice these laws repeatedly through use and over time, they will become second nature. They no longer seem burdensome or complex.

The start is knowing those laws, but the real magic comes when they are put into practice here and now. The universe requires new knowledge that can be painstakingly extracted through everyday experience.
