The Reverend Dr. Wendy Ann Hermonstine is the General Secretary of the Guyana United Apostolic Mystical Council, the umbrella organization for all Faithists churches. She is an ardent leader of St. Peter’s African Apostolic Church, in Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America.
In her dissertation, Rev. Hermonstine explored the realities that “persons are born with innate abilities, but it is up to individuals to identify, explore, and develop these abilities for purposeful and successful living.”
For more than forty years, Rev. Hermonstine has been in the field of mass media communication in the industries of television, marketing, and public relations. She is currently the Production Manager with the National Communications Network Inc., where she has been employed for nearly three decades.
She has participated in training of the principles of television, film and radio production at the University of the West Indies, Kingston Jamaica, NHK Communications Institute, Japan, the training center of State Administration, Beijing, China as well as several other local and international agencies in the field.
In 2017 she was bestowed with Guyana’s fifth highest national award a ‘Medal of Service’ by the President of Guyana for her outstanding years of service in media. One year later, she was conferred with a ‘Humanitarian Service Award’ by the United Bridge Builders Mission where she serves as the Chaplin and Public Relations Officer. She is a Certified Marriage Officer.
Following her passion, Rev. Hermonstine enrolled in the University of Metaphysical Science, (UMS). U.S.A Her studies inspired her in 2020 to coordinate and host a conference, “Finding Your Strength Within.” This was so empowering that it led to the production of a daily recorded spiritual uplifting discourse to hundreds of contacts. The tremendous feedback led to the publishing of her first book “A Compilation of Daily Reminders” which is available on Amazon.
This Peace Ambassador holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Communications) and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Studies, both from the University of Guyana. She also achieved a Bachelor of Metaphysical Sciences, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity from UMS.
Rev. Hermonstine loves interacting with others and is gratified to hear success stories. She is a volunteer and activist but more importantly, she is a mother, sister, and friend and to many.
Her mantra is “God is Almighty.”
