When I was 14, I found it odd and unnecessary to be shuffled around within a religion of rules and rigidity. I respectfully declined being "confirmed," siting to my family and teachers that I didn't need anyone to tell me that the Holy Spirit was within me (I was aware of IT and felt protective of my connection). I was taking my power back, although i didn't realize it then. That was my big first step to connecting to my INNER GUIDANCE SYSTEM I think! I'm 39 and after continuously striving in one way or another to connect with SELF and higher knowing. I realize that not only do I know I'm meant to share what I know and be of service to humanity, but that there's so much more to learn, and I'm ALL in! Thank you Thank you!
