UMS takes extreme pride in conferring upon Michelle Hughes the degree of PhD- Philosopher of Holistic Life Coaching as the 2020 culmination of 12 years of studying holistic health, wellness, and healing with our University. As a part of Dr. Hughes’ Master’s Degree project with our University, she wrote a book titled “My Spirit is Me!” that is set for publication this summer of 2020. Our own Dr. Michelle Hughes hopes to be an upcoming guest on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday to discuss her important spiritual work with teaching children about their spirit and how to develop spiritual coping skills. Dr. Michelle is a practitioner of meditation, relaxation, self-care, sound, and energy/vibrational medicine techniques. Michelle also earned her Doctor of Divinity in Spiritual Counseling from our University in 2016. Her Spiritual Counseling experience helps people gain a better sense of spiritual alignment, positive energy, and manifestation. Michelle conducts professional development trainings and talks on the importance of Self-Care & Stress Management for organizations and their employees internationally. Her trainings are experiential and leave participants feeling extremely relaxed, recharged, and armed with new techniques to utilize in their daily routine.
Dr. Michelle Hughes, PhD, DD, LMT is also a Licensed Therapist (LMFT) helping individuals, families, couples and children in utilizing spiritual and holistic techniques as a resource to help them heal depression, anxiety, and trauma in her dynamic private practice. Michelle is a skilled Clinical Supervisor and Consultant to new intern/associate therapists training them on their way to becoming licensed therapists. Michelle is also an Ordained Minister who performs premarital counseling and private weddings for select private couples.
