Aziza Young, also known as Chef Z, is a culinary artist and a passionate advocate for mental health. Her journey began with a deep love for cooking, inspired by her father, and has since evolved into a multifaceted career. Aziza holds a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Science and is on the path to obtaining licensure in neuropsychology, aiming to integrate spiritual insights with neurological principles to promote holistic healing.
Aziza has made significant contributions to the culinary world, from founding The People’s Kitchen to co-founding Everybody Eats Philly, initiatives that address food insecurity and promote healthy eating. She is also the culinary director for The Community Grocer, a project dedicated to providing nutritious food options to underserved communities.
Beyond her culinary achievements, Aziza is dedicated to supporting mental health, inspired by her personal experiences and her daughter’s journey. She envisions establishing a mental health center for children and teenagers, focusing on creating safe spaces for emotional expression and healing.
